My 100 List
Since everyone else is doing it and it sounded like fun, here is my 100 list...
1. My full name is Emily Jane Kroeker nee Harder.
2. I am 1/4 English, 1/4 Scottish and 1/2 Mennonite.
3. I love to sing and play music
4. I wish I could write the way my favourite books are written. I'm beginning to doubt I'll ever write that novel.
5. I love to sleep. My favourite part is laying in bed after I wake up. So comfy.
6. I went through a big country music phase in Grade 6 and then got over it. Now I'm back and loving it--especially bluegrass.
7. I really want to learn how to play banjo.
8. I want to be a combination of my mother, grandmother, aunts and sister.
9. My dog has really bad breath and it makes it tough to cuddle with her.
10. I wish I could dance.
11. I've always wondered what would have happened if I had tired girls' hockey. Would I have been in the Olympics?
12. A lot of my values and beliefs are thought to be mainstream but if I stood on the the street corner of a major city and yelled them out, I'd be egged.
13. I think Beyonce dances like she's on shock therapy.
14. Once, my eye twitched on and off for three days. I almost went insane.
15. I don't like football nearly as much as I'd like to.
16. Sometimes I even find baseball a little slow. Throw the ball already!
17. I don't like kids (with the exception of those related--they are awesome)
18. I always hated babysitting, I only ever did it for the money.
19. I hate cats.
20. I firmly believe that it should be a law that everyone must work in the service/retail industry for at least a month and see how they like it!
21. I am not a people person.
22. But I am a people pleaser. Figure that one out.
23. I admire teachers and everyone that can do things that I can't.
24. I lie on personality tests to be the person I want to be.
25. I really like taking pictures.
26. I would rather they be outdoors and of nature. My mom used to nearly beg me to take people pictures.
27. I get confused between Irish and Scottish accents.
28. I've read Catcher in the Rye twice and still haven't figured out what the fuss was all about. I just don't get it. The book makes no sense.
29. I've read Kim twice and again, don't get it. Both times were in classes so we even went over it.
30. I haven't read hardly any of the Classic novels. I get two pages in and get bored. I think my Giller Group was a good idea but may fade away.
31. I've never like potatoes. It's the texture--mushy and gritty.
32. I don't like fired. Except for McDonald's.
33. I don't like Coke or Pepsi.
34. I love A&W Root beer and any Grape or Orange pop.
35. I love being married, even more than I thought.
36. I am afraid of heights.
37. Whenever I lean over a ledge or balcony, I can see myself falling over and crashing.
38. From the ages of 9-11, I wanted to be a boy. Now I can say that I am happy with who I am.
39. I never got the Latin music craze.
40. I totally got the Celtic music craze.
41. I started listening to New Kids on the Block after my sister lost interest and gave me her tapes of them.
42. I don't think Tiffany can sing very well.
43. If you don't want to eat meat, that's fine. Just don't get mad at those who do or make their living raising tasty animals. Which would you rather have, a steak or a starving farmer?
44. I don't think there is a holiday or celebration that I don't enjoy. Even the contrived ones.
45. I love Anchorman. Even the stupid parts.
46. 40 Year Old Virgin was better than I thought.
47. Eminem raises a good point--Are we the perceptions the public places on us?
48. I think LeAnn Rimes is ugly but very talented.
49. I have never gotten my car stuck in the snow. (knock on wood)
50. I believe in knock on wood.
51.My greatest fear is getting a person's name wrong.
52. Batteries should always be included. Otherwise you're just selling a chunk of coloured plastic.
53. You can get away with a lot with a smile. But now that I'm older, it's not working as well.
54. I change my opinions daily. Some people call that fickle, I call it human.
55. I hate it when people mention name, places or dates in songs.
56. ...or talk, It's a song--sing!
57. I love a cold, crisp, cold winter day when the hoar frost covers everything and the snow crunches under your boots.
58. I love a hot summer day when the sun beats down and shoes are optional.
59. Sometimes I go outside, I can smell winter, or fall or Halloween.
60. I hate it when they are called the Regina Roughriders.
61. I don't dislike Anne Murray. I actually kinda like her.
62. My biggest problem with her is that her range is too low for me to sing along.
63. I like the Queen.
64. We should do away with the Governor General.
65. My grandpa was from Scotland and I never thought he had an accent. It was just his voice.
66. If I had unlimited funds, I'd buy all the CDs I wanted and eat out every meal.
67. I can eat a piece of toast in four bites.
68. I eat two bite brownies in one.
69. I would be quite happy being a wife and mother.
70. It ticks me off when Canadian publications leave out the u out of words like colour, favourite and labour.
71. I love how the speed of sound is slower than the speed of light. I watched a drum line from afar and was captivated how they'd hit the drum and then a half second later, I'd hear it.

74. The three greatest sounds: ball off a wooden bat, men slammed into the boards, crunch of a football tackle.
75. I believe in a handshake after the game.
76. I believe that a handshake is the same as a written contract. Although I do suggest you get it in writing too.
77. Happiness is...knowing someone cares for and about you.
78. My dog loves me because I feed her, give her a warm place to stay and an occasional belly rub.
79. Someone asked me how could you love such a dependent, blindly loving animal! How could you not!
80. I still say the prairies are beautiful.
81. When I went walking in the prairies, I always felt someone watching me. It's an oppressive feeling. I know I'm not the only one.
82. I'm afraid of the ball.
83. My second favourite joke is "How do you get down form a mountain? You don't, you get down form a duck". For years I never got it. Why would you ever get on a duck?
84. My favourite joke is "Two sausages are in a frying pan. The one sausage says to the other, 'It's getting warm in her.' The other sausage says 'Ah! A talking sausage!'". I've also heard it as muffins.
85. I am an English major who doesn't know grammar, can't spell well, doesn't "write so well, do you?" (quote form one of my profs) and hasn't read the Great literature of the Western World.
86. I've cheered for the Calgary flames solely because they are based in Canada over the Tampa Bay Lightning who had more actual Canadians on the team.
87. When I am in front of crowds, I always think my fly is down.
88. I once bit my sister on the shoulder because her friends wouldn't leave me alone.
89. I was in a movie called "Held Up". It stars Jamie Foxx. I was a cheerleader. You can see me cheer for .6 seconds and getting on and off a bus. Jamie Foxx was very nice.
90. I can't believe how young these baseball players are getting. Or am I getting older?
91. I've woken myself up by my own snoring.
92. I've woken myself up by dreaming the phone rang.
93. When I worked at Tim Horton's, I once woke up leaning over the bed as if to hand a tray of coffees out the drive-thru window.
94. I used to wake up convinced that I had to get that customer their coffee right now. Mark would have to calm me down.
95. I dislike quarterbacks, pitchers and goalies. It's a team sport, it's not all about you!
96. I used to be such a hermit but now I am seeing the joys leaving the house.
97. Nothing beats a bubble bath in the dead of winter.
98. I would rather lose every game but the Big One than win every game and lose the Big One.
99. I'd rather be a dead lion than a live dog.
