Deer + Pork = Good
So, I just got a call from the choir director. I will not be Belle in the production here in town. She had some very nice things to say about me and my stage presence so that was nice to hear. And she also said that she hoped I would still be involved. Oh my, yes! I always thought that you might as well shoot for the top, you can always go down but if you don't try, you'll never know how high you can go. I would have hated myself if I hadn't given it a shot. I did my best. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't a little bit disappointed but hey, I am still me and I am still happy to be here. To quote Bart Simpson: "Just glad to be on the team".
Mark went to a Bomber game tonight. I have to get the lingo right. I used to get so confused when people said the Bombers. I automatically thought the Blue Bombers. I thought, boy a lot of people drive to Winnipeg for a football game. But no, the Flin Flon Jr. Bomber hockey team. And a lot of people do drive to the Whitney Forum for a hockey game. I didn't really want to go just yet. I'm not a fan of loud, drunk, obsessed angry fans. I went to one Red Wing (Weyburn) game with my dad and saw how fans turn on their goalie if he lets in too many goals. One positive came out of that evening. I learned out what siv meant in a hockey context. Still, I'll see if Mark likes it and maybe next game I'll go with him. Maybe. Or I'll just stay at home, eat popcorn, watch TV, play on the computer and phone my folks. So many choices!
it was only my second time filling up. But I do have a lot of experience with touched the metal Besides, I don't feel like going outside anymore. I have reached the second stage of snow. It's still pretty but it's getting to be an annoyance. It's still pretty but it's lost its newness. Now it's a pain. And pretty pain, but a pain. I'm going to have to dig my car out of six inches of snow tomorrow. Not looking forward to that!
I got gas again! I had to help an elderly man figure out the pump. I felt so weird giving him instruction cuz it was only my second time. But I am quite experienced when it comes to automative systems. It's once I get to the pump I get confused. I had trouble with the hose. It was so cold, it was really stiff so it was hard to manage to get it in the gas hole. I know, my terminology needs work, but you all know what I mean. Then, I forgot how to put the nozzle back. I had to look at the other pump to get a comparison. Oh, flip the lever thingy down when you're done. I accidentally touched the nozzle with my pinkie for half a second. Wow, now that's pain!
I haven't even mentioned how our garage smells. The day after Mark brought all the meat home, I had to get some from the garage. I told him it's like getting punched in the face with garlic. It's quite overwhelming. But yummy. We had farmer sausages last night. I had to make mac and cheese with it of course, but the sausages turned out great. Even after I burnt them with BBQ sauce! Yummy! I can't wait to eat more. Maybe if we do, we'll be able to fit it all in the house! Thank goodness hunting season is in the winter. How else do you store all the meat!

Glad to hear you guys are doing well. It's so funny - I read Bombers and suddenly I'm like Mark was in Winnipeg and he didn't even call me. So, I immediately went to the Blue Bombers too. Miss you guys!
Love, Carolyn
Glad to hear you guys are doing well. When I first read Bombers - I immediately thought 'Mark was in Wpg and he didn't call me!' - so I thought of the Blue Bombers too. Not just you!
Give that 'little' bro of mine a big hug for me!
Love Carolyn
