Rain, rain, and more rain
I'm sitting here in the office listening to the rain beat down on the windowpane. It sounds nice. I turned off the music so I could hear it. We just got back from running some errands and boy am I glad we got back when we did. It's coming down like crazy. When we were out, there was a line of black clouds running over the city. Around it was nice puffy white clouds. Well, the black clouds just opened up. It looks like it's stopped now, just raining softly. This will help the forest fires! Well, the rain has pretty much stopped and the sidewalks are flooded. It took about three minutes to flood it. Mark went outside and I checked the basement to see if anything got flooded inside. There's no water in the house, and good thing too. I was getting worried, there was just so much water swirling around the house.
There is a highway that goes around Flin Flon called the Perimeter Highway. It's a way to go around the town instead of through it, kinda like a scaled down version of Ring Road or Circle Drive. Anyway, It's a nice drive there's trees on one side with a few houses in view and rocks and trees and the bush on the other. It's like being out in the bush until you get back closer to the Flin Flon and the first thing that comes into view is the WalMart. I guess it depends on the person whether you find relieved to see something of civilization again or saddened because you just came from wild nature and see the very opposite. I always get a funny feeling when I see it crowning above the trees. I wish it would go away and leave the bush alone. And yet, I go there at least once a week. I don't know what I would do without it. A necessary evil I guess.
Well, the clouds look like they are rolling away now. The sky is a real nice colour of blue. Good, we're supposed to get our shingles down this weekend. I'd like to get it out of the way.
