Back to Life

Well, I finally admit it, I have caught Mark's cold. My head hurts, my nose is running and my throat hurts. This sucks. Mark is going fishing in a few hours, maybe I'll make myself some soup and sleep. Although I do have some errands to run. Nothing too major. I want to make a cheesecake but with blueberries instead of cherries. I hope it works out. I might wait until I feel a bit better.

I think I know where to go now to apply at the company. It's really a maze in there and there are no real signs anywhere. But I saw a parking lot with an entrance with gate so I think that's where I'll go. I just hate looking like a fool when I'm trying to make a good impression. It kinda defeats the purpose. Oh well, might as well try. I'll wait until I stop dripping and coughing before I go in. Again, it ruins the professional image. I want them to hire me, not offer me a Kleenex.

So I have decided to join the Flin Flon Community Choir. I was a little hesitant about joining because it's something I'll be doing on my own but Mark was really supportive. He said it's a good idea, it'll help me get to know people and keep me busy. Plus it's something I like to do. The choir is open to anybody regardless of experience or talent. That makes me feel better because I haven't sang since high school. I'd like to get back into it and I'm happy that there is a choir here. Wish me luck! It doesn't start until mid-Sept.

Mark and I are going to an Alpha Marriage Course at the Alliance Church. We've heard some good things about it from people who already took it and are taking it again. It's one night a week and we get a really good meal, a video and discussion time all for $10 a couple. Sounds good. Dale and Theresa were saying it's a good night out.

And that's what's up with us. I'll keep ya posted on how this all turns out. But it looks like we'll be busy this fall/winter.
