Volume 4
Saturday 10:01am
Matthew, Malisa and Timothy arrived yesterday in the afternoon. He is very cute. I got to hold him for awhile and while he was sitting with me, he started to coo and make cute baby noises. It seems strange to hold a baby boy, I'm used to little girls now. Anyway, to make room for the family, we were kicked out of the basement room and sent to the livingroom. We slept in the downstairs livingroom but we just moved again, this time to the craftroom. We have a room with a door again! Tonight the rest of the family is coming. And I thought the house is full now!
6:54pm
We cleaned up the house a little bit this afternoon. Then Crystal phoned and asked if we wanted to go to the lake. So we left, waited an hour for them to show up and then waited with them another half hour for the boat to show up. But it was worth it. Mark tried kneeboarding, but couldn't get up. It's hard. I waterskied. It was so much fun. The first few times, I couldn't get up. I guess I was leaning forward too much. After the second wipeout, I asked Matt if he had any pointers. He said to lean back so when he took off, I stood up no problem. I stayed quite awhile, even over a few wakes. I almost fell, but I held on. Then Matt turned the boat, and my arms couldn't take the force so down I went. I landed on the waterski. I hit my head and neck pretty good. I just floated in the water kinda relieved that I was done but still kinda in pain. Because I was too exhausted, I couldn't control any of my emotions so when Mark asked if I was okay, I started crying. I got over it right away, but it was still kinda embarrassing. He had to lift me into the boat because I had no arm strength left. I could put my feet on the ladder and lift with my legs but I was getting nowhere with my arms. It still have a slight headache and it looks like I have a hicky on my neck. My hey, it's only fun if you get hurt. We met Faith and her dad on the way to Regina to pick up their grandparents and Carolyn from the airport. I hope their flight went well. This afternoon, Mark and his dad set up the hammock. Mark had a turn and then I did. I took Dee Dee with me. Mark took some really good pictures of us snoozing together. I think I'm going to go out there now!
