Volume 8
Thursday 9:55am
We went to Houston Pizza for super last night. I had the Greek Slouvaki. Yummy. When we were walking back to the car, there were some bagpipers practising. We all stood around and watched them. When they finished, we all clapped. They were pretty good but then again, I always like the bagpipes. When we got home, Mark wasn't feeling too good. As soon as we got into Moose Jaw, his allergies started bothering him. Now it's a full blown cold. We're were going to go for drink after supper, just the kids, but we didn't go, not with Mark feeling this way. I played a card game with Len, Marj , Faith and Carolyn. It was down to the last hand and I lost, but I still won the game by one point. Whew!
Last night was rough. Mark had trouble breathing. Finally we fell alseep but I woke up becasue of his snoring. I went downstairs to sleep on the couch. I figured that I should let Mark sleep and heal rather than to elbow him until he stopped. This way we both had an okay sleep. Mark is napping now and I might have one later, but it could've been worse.
Matthew and Malisa just left. They have a long drive ahead of them.
Friday 8:05am
Well, it looked like Superman was going to get scrapped again but at the last minute, Faith pulled it out and saved it! We piled into the Camry and drove to Regina. On the way there, all I could think about was I hope I got the time right, I hope it's not sold out. It poured almost the entire way there. We were the second people there but the theatre filled up quickly. As we were waiting in our seats, a couple of familair faces walked in. It was my former pastor and his wife. We chatted for awhile. Their son is getting married soon. I still think of him as fourteen years old, but I guess time passes for others just as it passes for me. They were there with her sister and her ten children (the one on the way makes eleven). Well, I guess they get a group discount. When the movie started, I was worried that the screen would be too big for me, and we were in the back row. The screen is five stories tall. But with the widescreen, it shortened it a bit. Plus, you get used to it quickly. It was a good movie. I'm really glad we went. Faith just left for the airport. I hope she has a good flight back. We'll miss her.
